How does the plantable card work?

This card isn’t just cute – it’s also a sustainable gift. It’s filled with wildflower seeds that support bees and butterflies while looking beautiful in the garden or a flowerpot. Here’s how to plant it:

1. Choose your spot:
   From March to May, you can plant the card outdoors. You can also plant it indoors in a pot all year round.

2. Soak the card well:
   The paper needs to dissolve, so make sure it’s really wet.

3. Place it and cover with soil:
   Lay the card flat in your chosen spot and cover it with 1–1.5 cm of soil. Potting or seed compost works best.

4. Don’t overdo the soil:
   A thin layer ensures sunlight and nutrients reach the seeds. Too much soil may prevent sprouting.

5. Water, water, water:
   Water daily at first to keep the card moist so the seeds can germinate.

Tip: A spray bottle works best to evenly distribute the water.

Sprouting: After about a week, you should see the first sprouts. Keep watering – not necessarily daily, but enough to keep the soil moist. The seedlings do best in a warm, light-filled spot.

Note: Be careful with direct sunlight during the early stages, as it can dry out the paper and prevent some seeds from sprouting.
