The menstrual cup is an environmentally friendly, sustainable, economical and healthy alternative to sanitary towels, panty liners and tampons. The Merula menstrual cup is made of certified medical grade silicone and is 100% safe for your body. The cup does not contain any chemical additives such as plasticizers.

The menstrual cup is a small flexible cup that is inserted folded to collect menstrual blood. The cup opens back up into the body creating a leak-free seal. The pelvic floor muscles hold the cup in the correct position. After a period of time, no longer than 12 hours, the cup is removed. The contents can be emptied into the toilet and the cup can then be rinsed with water. The cup can then be used again immediately.

Thanks to the Merula Cupscup, you can now clean your menstrual cup quickly, easily and effectively in the microwave whenever you want.

The water in the Merual Cupscup boils quickly, causing hot steam to rise which cleans the menstrual cup. The handy handle makes it easy to remove the Merula Cupscup from the microwave. Once the menstrual cup has cooled, it can be used again immediately or you can store it for the next period in the small breathable cotton bag.

Application:

Fill the Merula Cupscup up to the marking line with clean water. If necessary, add a dash of vinegar to prevent limescale build-up in the menstrual cup and Merula Cupscup. Place your pre-washed menstrual cup with the opening down on the blue insert. Close the lid and open the steam valve. Heat the Merula Cupscup for 5 minutes in the microwave at 750 watts. If the wattage is different, adjust the heating time. Make sure that the water in the Merula Cupscup does not completely evaporate. After the heating process, the Merula Cupscup and its contents are very hot and hot water or steam may escape from the cup.

Storage: Store the Merula Cupscup in a dry place with the lid open.

The material of the Merula Cupscup has been tested according to German standards and meets the requirements of Regulation (EC) 1935 2004, Regulation (EC) 10/2011 and the LFGB. The Merula Cupscup is microwave and dishwasher safe.
