Product description
This card doesn’t just carry a sweet message for your mom – it turns into beautiful flowers afterwards! While most cards end up in the recycling bin pretty quickly, this one can be easily planted. That makes it not just a charming gift, but also a sustainable one. The card is packed with wildflower seeds that help support bees and butterflies, and they look lovely in your garden or flower pot. So, how do you plant it?
How does a plantable card work?
Pick your spot:
From March through May, the card can be planted outdoors. The rest of the year, it can be planted indoors in a pot.Soak the card well:
The paper needs to dissolve, so make sure it’s thoroughly wet.Place and cover with soil:
Lay the card flat in your chosen spot and cover it with 1–1.5 cm of soil. Potting soil or seed compost works best.Don’t overdo it with the soil:
A thin layer ensures the seeds get enough sunlight, protection, and nutrients to germinate. Too much soil might prevent the seeds from sprouting.Water, water, and more water:
Keep the paper moist by watering daily in the beginning so the seeds can germinate.
Tip: A spray bottle works best to evenly distribute the water.
Watch them grow: After about a week, you should see the first sprouts appear. Keep watering regularly – not necessarily every day, but often enough to keep the soil moist. The plants thrive best in a bright, warm spot.
Note: Avoid too much direct sunlight early on, as it can dry out the paper and prevent some seeds from sprouting.
