Certified Organic Cotton

Certified Organic Cotton is an ecolabel that is used by Vuokkoset.

A more well-known ecolabel for cotton is actually 'GOTS-certified organic cotton'. Since Vuokkoset's panty liners and sanitary pads are not completely made of cotton, they do not qualify for the GOTS- certification, which they only give to products entirely made of cotton. In feminine hygiene products, only the top layer is made of cotton. This cotton is all GOTS certified cotton on itself and is thus 100% organic. The absorbent core of the sanitary pads and pantyliners are made from cellulose-based materials, which is better for the environment tan cotton in many ways.
