How does the plantable card work?
This card isn’t just adorable – it’s also a sustainable gift. It’s filled with wildflower seeds that support bees and butterflies while looking lovely in a garden or flower pot. Here’s how to plant it:
Choose your spot:
From March to May, you can plant the card outside, or indoors in a pot all year round.Soak the card well:
The paper needs to dissolve, so make sure it’s thoroughly wet.Place it and cover with soil:
Lay the card flat in your chosen spot and cover it with 1–1.5 cm of soil. Potting or seed compost works best.Don’t overdo it with the soil:
A thin layer allows sunlight and nutrients to reach the seeds. Too much soil can prevent germination.Water regularly:
Water daily in the beginning to keep the paper moist and help the seeds sprout.
Tip: A spray bottle works best for even water distribution.
See them grow: After about a week, you should start to see sprouts. Continue watering – not necessarily daily, but enough to keep the soil moist. The plants grow best in a bright, warm spot.
Note: Avoid too much direct sunlight in the early stages, as it can dry out the paper and prevent some seeds from sprouting.
