Bambooty

Bambooty was founded by Amelia Singh in Australia in 2008. Her daughter had severe eczema. Amelia found that disposable diapers made the eczema worse, and she tried several reusable diapers that improved her daughter's eczema.

After a few months dealing with leaks, bad stitching, and mismatched designs, Amelia began making Hannah's diapers herself. Soon Amelia was making diapers for family and friends, after which bambooty was born.

Why cloth diapers?

  • It is gentle on the baby
  • Cheaper alternative to disposable diapers
  • It is better for the environment

The story behind bamboo

Bambooty uses bamboo for the diapers, as this is made with much less water than cotton and does not require any pesticides or chemicals, reducing the environmental impact. Bamboo absorbs more moisture than cotton and is a more sustainable crop due to the speed at which it grows compared to cotton. In addition, bamboo is also silky soft.

Bambooty supports the Australian Breastfeeding Association and has won several baby product awards.
