    Gerálda C-lights - sustainable tealights

Gerálda has been producing candles and tealights since 1995. The mission for C-lights is a high quality candle that is also environmentally friendly and safe. The great thing about C-lights is that they are 100% natural tealights. Good for 6 hours of safe, durable, warm natural light. The C-lights are available in Flatpack (18,24,30,36, 50, 75, 100 tealights) in Trays (20, 40 tealights) and Carton (100 tealights).

The biodegradability of the C-lights is one of the most important goals of Gerálda. After a phase of thorough research and development, Gerálda is now the first company in the world to produce all-natural tea lights. Instead of aluminum, the trays are made from plant-based materials. The wax of the candle is made of rapeseed oil instead of crude oil and the wick is made of eco-cotton. Worldwide environmental pollution is a major problem, but by choosing these natural candles, you contribute to the solution on a small scale! Watch the video about biodegradability in the environment below. For the C-lights Gerálda has taken a critical look at full biodegradability.

    Compostable and waste advice

The tea trays are made from plant-based materials. The trays can therefore be composted according to the PLA 7 protocol and the industrial process 7P2159. This is a complicated name for the industrial compost process that the Austrian TUV has tested. To prepare the container for compost, the metal wick plate must be removed. This metal plate is needed for a safe flame. You can easily throw this wick plate in the general waste bin. The plant-based materials are broken down at 100 degrees Celsius under 1 Newton pressure after 10 weeks. The only thing left is  pure water without the emission of toxic substances. Check with your municipality how the waste processing is arranged and whether it goes according to the compost process 7P2159. If your municipality does not work according this process, throw the containers in the general waste.
